Now Introducing Group Lessons!
Sunday, July 13 from 6 PM ET until 7 PM ET I will be giving my first ever group lesson! The topic will be the endgame. My idea is to see how it goes and in future hopefully introduce courses where we will spend multiple lessons tackling one topic!
Pricing
$30
$15 for current and previous students
Please pay via Zelle; my Zelle email address is [email protected].
If not, my Venmo username is @TheoSlade.
If neither of these work, please contact me and I’ll give you additional ways you can pay!
How it Works
When you pay, please send me your email address so I can email you the Zoom link. Please also send me your rating so I can better aim the lesson at your level. I’m really speaking about your classical/Regular rating, so USCF or FIDE rating would be ideal. But you can also send your Chess.com or lichess rating.
You’ll be able to see and hear me and see my live screen share of my chessboard. I’ll ask the students lots of questions throughout the lesson. When you play a game, you constantly have to make decisions, like which move to play! So I’m going to train you for that by asking you questions. I’ll ask everyone to answer by messaging me privately because it’s not good if someone messages the whole class the right answer because that would ruin the exercise. If you’re right, maybe I’ll call on you to unmute your mic and tell the whole class! If you’re wrong, I’ll give you feedback.
I will start the Zoom call at 5:45 PM ET so you can join early and think about the first exercise which will be on the screen. I will turn my video and audio on at 6, and you can hopefully immediately message me with your answers so you can get a head start!
It’s not so much my style to give hints because you don’t get any outside help during a game. And the most effective chess training is to simulate as much as you can a real game. But if you really want a hint, message me, and I’ll give you one 🙂
After the lesson, I’ll email you the materials we covered.
I hope to see you there!
